Social Policy contributes with 26.000 euros

The grant is a result of different agreements to help start programmes for the disabled.

The townhall of Águilas, through the Social Service Council Office, informs that the Work and Social Policy Office, the townhalls of Totana and Mazarrón and the Parent Association of the Psychic Disabled School URCI of Aguilas, have signed a collaboration agreement to be able to carry out different programmes for the disabled for a total of 272.231 Euros of which 204.923 Euros will be contributed by the Autonomous Region.

The agreement with the Parent Association of the Psychic Disabledd School URCI, with a total amount of 33.667 Euros of which 26.000 Euros will be contributed by the Autonomous Region, will have the aim of the realization of a Programme of Skills in the town of Aguilas.

They will attempt to achieve for those persons attending the Occupational Centre, to be able to better their self-esteem, to acquire skills to avoid confrontations and to use cognitive skills and emotional control to manage different social situations with efficiency.

URCI will carry out activities divided in five units with several sessions in each, which will be developed throughout the year.

They will be fulfilled and supervised by an educator and a carer.
