For the second consecutive year the Town Hall of Águilas, through the Post of Councillor of Culture and Education, has set in motion the “Reading Stimulation Campaign” to encourage schoolchildren to read.

The purpose of these campaigns is to work on reading habits and to face it as a technique that must be learned and practised. To achieve that schoolchildren can master the Spanish language and to encourage them to read books so that a “reading habit”can be created. This campaign is carried out jointly with the “Plans for the encouragement to Reading and the Development of a Reading Comprehension” that are carried out by all the different educational centres.

During the month of February, the campaign will be directed towards all those students of first and second grade and in March it will be centered on students in third and fourth grade with the aim that all schoolchildren come closer to the book world.
